What is turning?
Turning creates cylindrical and rounded shapes with a single-point tool. The definition of turning is that the tool is stationary and the workpiece is rotating. The turning process is the most common metal cutting process and is a highly optimized process that requires a thorough consideration of various factors in the use of turning.
